β½ Caramel Vodka: I'm so happy to have discovered caramel vodka. It's so good! It's a wonderful flavored vodka to have on-hand especially during the fall and holiday season. It adds so much more flavor than regular vodka.
Some great caramel flavor vodka brands are Smirnoff Kissed Caramel Vodka, Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka, and Veil Caramel Vodka. Salted caramel vodka would be really good in this cocktail too for a hint of sea salt flavor!
β½ Creme de Cacao: To bring in the milk chocolate flavor of a Snickers, creme de cacao is added. This will make the cocktail both chocolately and creamy.
β½ Peanut Butter Whiskey: Peanut butter whiskey is my new favorite thing. It adds the peanut flavor to this cocktail and makes it taste so yummy. Some of my favorite brands are Skatterbrain Peanut Butter Whiskey, Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Shepherd's P'Nutty Peanut Butter Whiskey, and Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey.
β½ Caramel Sauce or Syrup: Adding a caramel drizzle to the inside of the cocktail glass adds a delicious buttery caramelized sugar flavor to it. You can buy pre-made caramel sauce or you can whip up your own.
β½ Chocolate Sauce or Syrup: Putting chocolate sauce/syrup on the cocktail glass rim makes this cocktail all the more chocolately. Yes, please!
β½ Crushed Peanuts: The crushed peanuts will stick perfectly to the chocolate syrup rim giving this cocktail all the Snickers candy bar vibes.
How to Make Snickers Cocktails
β On a small saucer, add a small amount of chocolate sauce or syrup. Dip the rim of a martini cocktail glass into the chocolate to coat the entire rim of the glass.
β Dip the chocolate rim of the glass into a small pile of crushed peanuts so the peanuts stick to the chocolate.
β Drizzle caramel syrup or sauce inside the martini glass so it sticks to the sides of the glass.
β In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ounce caramel vodka, 1 ounce creme de cacao, and 1 ounce peanut butter whiskey with a couple ice cubes. Shake until chilled, about 10 seconds.
β Strain cocktail into prepared cocktail glass. Cheers!
Snickers Cocktail: Questions
β½ How do I make this cocktail into a Snickers shot?
Turning this cocktail into a shot really easy. Just decrease the amounts to 1/2 ounce caramel vodka, 1/2 ounce creme de cacao, and 1/2 ounce peanut butter whiskey. After shaking in a cocktail shaker with a couple cubes of ice, strain into a shot glass. You can add the chocolate syrup, caramel sauce, and crushed peanuts or you can omit them. Enjoy!
β½ What is a Snickers?
Snickers is a candy bar made by Mars, Inc. It consists of nougat, caramel, peanuts, and covered in milk chocolate.
According to the Snickers Wiki page, Mars came out with Snickers in 1930 named after the family's favorite horse.
