These lime green Scooby Snack Shots are fruity and tropical. There's multiple ways to make a classic Scooby snack shot, but this version is my favorite. These Scooby shots are made with coconut rum, melon liqueur, and pineapple juice. When topped with whipped cream, they are even better! This Scooby shots recipe is perfect for adult Scooby-Doo themed parties, Scooby-doo movie nights, and Halloween parties.
Scooby-doo, where are you?
If you are a fan of fruity shots then this is the perfect shot for you! This green shot is filled with fruity coconut flavors and is so delicious. It's also the same color green as the mystery machine van!
I didn't create Scooby snacks shots, and I found that there are a ton of different versions when I started researching the shot recipe. Some have pineapple, some have banana liqueur (creme de banana), some have neither. Some recipes call for heavy cream while others do not, and the amount of ingredients in each recipe is different for all. There's even a blue scooby snack shot.
So my husband and I did the dirty work so you don't have, and we tasted multiple Scooby shot recipes to figure out the perfect one. Our taste buds led us to these proportions and these ingredients, and I hope that you enjoy these melon liqueur shots as much as we do! Note that this shot is also sometimes called a Ninja Turtle Shot when served without the whipped cream.
This sweet refreshing shooter is great for a Scooby-doo movie night, an adult Scooby-doo themed party, pool parties underneath the summer sun, or Halloween parties due to their bright green color.

β½ Coconut Rum: I love coconut rum, and the coconut rum combined with the other fruity flavors of this shot tastes so so good. The coconut rum makes this shot unique compared to the Melon Ball Shot which is pineapple juice, melon liqueur, and vodka.
Some good brands include Malibu Rum, Largo Bay Coconut Rum, Bacardi Coco Rum, and Blue Chair Bay Coconut Rum.
β½ Melon Liqueur: Melon liqueur is going to make these shots bright green, add sweetness, and contribute honeydew melon flavors.
The most popular choice of melon liqueur is Midori Melon Liqueur, but you can also use any other melon liqueur such as Mr Stacks Sweet Melon or DeKuyper Melon Schnapps Liqueur.
β½ Pineapple Juice: The yellowness of the pineapple juice combines with the bright green melon liqueur to make the beautiful green color of the shot. It also adds in sweet flavor and lots of beachy vibes.
β½ Whipped Cream: Adding some whipped cream to the top of this shot right before servings makes them so good and creamy.
β½ Graham Cracker Crumbs: A little bit of graham cracker crumbs on top of this shot tastes really good. And actual human Scooby snacks sold in stores are graham crackers so I felt like this was fitting. However, you can leave them off the top if you want.
How to Make Scooby Snack Shots
β This fruity shot recipe is really easy to remember since you just need to put in equal parts of each ingredient. It will take just a couple minutes of your time to make! In a stainless steel shaker, combine 1/2 oz of coconut rum, 1/2 oz melon liqueur, and 1/2 oz pineapple juice with a couple of ice cubes. Shake until chilled, about 10 seconds.
If you skip the shaker part, you'll end up with a room temperature shot. It's not bad, but the chilled version is much better, in my opinion.
β Strain mix into shot glasses. Top shot with a dollop of whipped cream.
If desired, sprinkle some graham cracker crumbs on top of the whipped cream. Take shot in one big gulp. Cheers!
