These orange shots are creamy, slightly tangy, and sweet. Orange juice is mixed with whipped cream vodka and triple sec for a very flavorful combination. The shot is topped with heavy cream to make an extra creamy shot. These shots are a must for any creamsicle or dreamsicle fans!
All the deliciousness of a creamsicle in shot form.
Creamsicle/Dreamsicle ice cream is the best and has such delicious flavors. The tanginess and sweetness from the oranges combined with the creaminess makes for such a dreamy treat. You just really can't go wrong.
These orange shots are made with whipped cream vodka which is one of my favorite infused vodka flavors. It makes these shots so good just like an orange soda! When these shots are given a cream layer on top and garnished with a fresh orange slice, they are so cute and tasty. Perfect for summer get togethers and hot summer days, parties, or any special occasion!
Creamsicle Shot Recipe: Ingredients

✽ Whipped Cream Vodka: Boozy whipped cream vodka adds in such a nice creamy and vanilla flavor that makes these shots taste like an actual creamsicle.
Some of my favorite brands of whipped cream-flavored vodka include Pinnacle Whipped Cream Vodka, Smirnoff Whipped Cream Vodka, UV Whipped Vodka, and Veil Whipped Cream Vodka.
✽ Triple Sec: Triple sec is an orange liqueur that adds a nice citrus flavor and fruity flavor to these shots.
I usually use DeKuyper Triple Sec when making these creamsicle shots, but you can use any orange liqueur.
✽ Orange Juice: Adding some orange juice into these shots provides freshness and natural flavors. Using hand squeeze fresh oranges will give you even better taste that will make your taste buds extra happy!
✽ Heavy Whipping Cream: Adding a layer of real cream on top really sets these shots apart. It makes them so creamy and balances out all the flavors for an amazing tasting shot.
While I prefer the taste and consistency of heavy cream in these shots, you could also top with whipped cream. Try the Cardi B Whip Shots Vanilla Vodka Infused Whipped Cream for an extra luscious addition!
✽ Orange Slices: To make these shots super cute, add a small orange slice or orange wedge to the rim of the shot glass. Plus, you get a snack after taking the shot as well!
How to Make Creamsicle Shots with Whipped Vodka
➊ In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ounce whipped cream vodka, 1 ounce triple sec, 1 ounce orange juice, and a few ice cubes. Shake until chilled, about 10 seconds. You can make a big batch of these shots all at once- just make sure you keep the whipped cream vodka to triple sec to orange juice ratio the same (1:1:1).
If you skip the shaker part, you'll end up with a room temperature shot. It's not bad, but the chilled version is much better, in my opinion.
➋ Strain the orange whipped cream shot into 2 shot glasses.
➌ Slowly pour 1/4 ounce of heavy cream on top of each shot so that the cream floats. Garnish the rim of the glass with a small orange slice.
Creamsicle Shots Recipe: Questions
✽ How does the heavy cream float on top of the shot?
Heavy cream is lighter (smaller specific gravity) than most liquors and juices so it can float on top pretty easily.
Make sure you pour the heavy cream slowly on top. If you are having a difficult time getting the cream to float, pour the cream slowly over the back of a bar spoon into the shot.
✽ Can I use plain vodka?
I wouldn't recommend it. The whipped cream vodka adds in a lot of the creamy flavor and makes these shots taste so good. You can substitute whipped cream vodka with vanilla vodka if need.

Ingredients
• 1 ounce whipped cream vodka
• 1 ounce triple sec
• 1 ounce orange juice
• 1/2 ounce heavy cream
• Optional: orange slice, for garnish
Instructions
➊ In a cocktail shaker, combine whipped cream vodka, triple sec, and orange juice with a few ice cubes. Shake until chilled, about 10 seconds.
➋ Strain mix into 2 shot glasses. Slowly pour 1/4 ounce of heavy cream on top of each shot. Garnish with small orange slice, if desired. Cheers!
