These fun jello shots are creamy and filled with delicious orange flavor. Orange Jello is combined with fresh orange juice, vanilla, and whipped cream vodka to make incredibly tasty orange shots. When topped with whipped cream, they are even better and so cute. This simple jello shot recipe is perfect for any party or a hot summer day!
I'm always daydreaming about these dreamsicle jello shots.
These dreamsicle jello shots take jello shots to the next level. Replacing the water with orange juice and replacing the plain vodka with whipped cream vodka ensures that these shots have maximum flavor. I love to serve these orange shots with a dollop of whipped cream on top to make them even tastier and cute.
Anything that is dreamsicle (or creamsicle) flavored is absolutely perfect for any summer festivity. If one thing is for sure- this boozy bite is sure to be a crowd pleaser. If you love orange ice cream, orange juice, or the classic drink, Orange Julius, then these jello shots are for you!
Orange Creamsicle Jello Shots: Ingredients

✽ Orange Juice: By using orange juice instead of boiling water, these shots have all the flavor. Orange juice also adds in a nice freshness. You can even squeeze your own oranges for the freshest juice. Just make sure to strain your juice or use pulp-free store-bought orange juice for the best results.
✽ Orange Gelatin Packet (Powder): This orange Jello is so tasty. It brings in a candy-like orange flavor that pairs perfectly with the other ingredients in this recipe. I used 3 oz Orange Jell-O for this recipe.
✽ Vanilla Extract: A Dreamsicle was originally was a brand of ice cream that combined orange flavoring with vanilla ice cream. By adding in just a bit of real vanilla extract to these shots, we can mimic that exact flavor profile.
✽ Whipped Cream Vodka: Whipped cream vodka may just be one of the best flavored vodkas out there. It tastes good in pretty much anything and these orange dreamsicle shots are no exception.

✽ Whipped Cream: Not only does a whipped cream topping make these shots extra fun, it also makes them taste even better. Make sure to only add the whipped cream right before serving or it will begin to melt. You can also top the shots with Cool Whip as well.
✽ Orange Slices: I love a fancy garnish on a jello shot. Adding some fresh fruit on top of the whipped cream is completely optional, but it sure does make these shots look super adorable.
How to Make Dreamsicle Jell-O Shots
➊ In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup orange juice to a boil. Whisk the boiling orange juice into 3 ounces of orange jello powder in a medium mixing bowl or large measuring cup. Whisk for about 2 minutes until all the gelatin dissolves.
➋ Whisk in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 cup whipped cream vodka into the hot jello mixture. Stir well.
➌ Pour gelatin mixture into 2 ounce plastic shot glasses or plastic containers. You should get about 10 shots. I like to set all the plastic cups on a small baking sheet or cookie sheet so that it is easier to carry them to and from the fridge. Place the shots in the fridge for 3-4 hours or until set.
➍ Right before serving, add a dollop of whipped cream to the top of the jello shots and a small orange slice to the rim. Cheers!
Orange Jello Shots with Whipped Cream Vodka: Questions
✽ Do I have to use orange juice?
No, you don't have to, but I think the orange juice brings in so much good flavor and freshness to the shots. If needed, you can replace the 1 cup boiling orange juice with 1 cup boiling water.
✽ What if I can't find whipped cream vodka?
Whipped cream vodka makes these shots taste just like a dreamsicle. However, if you can't find any whipped vodka, you can replace it with plain vanilla vodka or cake vodka.
If you use regular vodka, you end up with very orange jello shots. They are still very tasty, but not as creamy tasting.
✽ Can I put more alcohol in these jello shots?
I do not recommend adding more than a cup of vodka to these gelatin shots. When you change how much alcohol you add, you run the risk of the jello shots not setting properly.

Ingredients
• 1 cup orange juice, boiling
• 3 ounces orange gelatin powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup whipped cream vodka
• Whipped cream, for topping
• Optional: 10 orange slices, for garnish
Instructions
➊In a medium mixing bowl, whisk boiling orange juice into the orange gelatin powder. Continue whisking for about 2 minutes until all the powder has dissolved.
➋ Whisk in vanilla extract and whipped cream vodka.
➌ Pour Jello mixture into 10 plastic 2-ounce jello plastic shot cups. Place in the fridge for about 3-4 hours or until the shots have set.
➍ Right before serving, top with whipped cream and a small orange slice, if desired. Cheers!
