This candy corn mocktail is so festive and perfect for Halloween. Each component of the mocktail is layered so it looks like an actual candy corn. It is made with homemade ginger candy corn syrup, pineapple juice, cream soda, and heavy cream. This candy corn drink is great for your next Halloween party or any time during spooky season.
Halloween drink fun without the booze.
This candy corn drink was so much fun to create. I love a good candy corn cocktail so I wanted to also see if I could recreate those flavors in a non-alcoholic version. I created a couple of duds in the beginning, but then I combined just the right amount of everything and ended up with a really delicious mocktail.
Not only is this mocktail tasty, it is layered to look like a candy corn with an orange bottom, yellow middle, and white top.
This fun mocktail also has the flavors of actual candy corn by using candy corn to make the simple syrup and also has notes of honey and vanilla. A bit of ginger and pineapple is also added in creating a really yummy and festive drink.
This sweet treat is perfect for all of spooky season and Halloween parties and for any candy corn lover!

β½ Candy Corn: Candy corn is one of my favorite Halloween candy flavors so to really get big candy corn flavor in this mocktail, I chose to use actual candy corns when making the simple syrup.
β½ Honey: Since actual candy corn is made with honey, I added just a bit of honey to the simple syrup to enhance the flavor.
β½ Ginger: When making mocktails, I like to add elements to the drink that make it taste similar to an actual cocktail. Fresh ginger is a great way to add a bit of a bite to the drink. Plus, it pairs really well with the other ingredients used.
β½ Cream Soda: I tried making this mocktail without the soda, and it just simply did not taste as good. The soda adds in more vanilla flavor and brings in some bubbles which is nicely paired with the cream to make a delicious drink.
β½ Pineapple Juice: I needed an ingredient that was yellow to create the middle layer so I reached for pineapple juice. I didn't really think it would work in this mocktail with the other ingredients but boy was I wrong. The pineapple fit in this drink perfectly and paired with the cream soda and cream, the drink has almost a punch-like feel to it. You can use either juice from fresh fruit or pick up some store-bought juice.
β½ Heavy Cream: Lastly, heavy cream is added which is the top white layer. It adds creaminess and cuts down the overall sweetness of the mocktail.
β½ Orange-colored Sugar: This mocktail is especially fun when the cocktail glass is given an orange-colored sugar rim.
How to Make Candy Corn Mocktails
β Make Candy Corn Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup candy corns, 3/4 cup water, 2 teaspoons honey, and 4 small slices of fresh ginger. Place the saucepan over medium heat, and stir until simmering. Once simmering, lower the heat and continue to slowly simmer for 5 more minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and let cool for at least 20 minutes.
β Dip and roll the rim of a cocktail glass into a bit of the candy corn syrup and then dip and roll the rim of the glass into a pile of orange-colored sugar. I like to use either martini glasses or coupe glasses.
β Pour 1 ounce of the prepared candy corn simple syrup into the bottom of the glass. Now slowly pour 2 ounces cream soda over the back of a bar spoon so it floats on top of the syrup.
β Then slowly pour 2 ounces pineapple juice over the back of the spoon into the cocktail glass. The cream soda and pineapple juice will mix a bit, but both should float on top of the orange candy corn syrup.
β Lastly, slowly pour 1.5 ounces heavy cream over the back of a bar spoon into the cocktail glass so it floats on top. Gently use the bar spoon to push the cream over the entire top of the drink.
You can drink this mocktail as is, but I personally like to stir it up right before drinking to combine all the ingredients!
Candy Corn Halloween Drink Recipe: Questions
How do you make orange-colored sugar?
To color white sugar, simple place about 1/4 cup of sugar into a jar that has a lid. Then add a couple of drops of orange food coloring (or 1 drop of red food coloring + 1 drop of yellow food coloring) into the jar. Shake the jar for about a minute until the coloring has completely colored the sugar.
How long does the syrup last?
The recipe for the candy corn simple syrup makes more than what you need for one mocktail. You can store the leftover syrup in a tightly sealed container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Also, the longer you keep the ginger slices in the syrup, the stronger the ginger flavor will be. For extra spicy ginger flavor, keep the fresh ginger in the syrup while it is stored in the fridge.

β’ 2 ounces cream soda
β’ 2 ounces pineapple juice
β’ 1.5 ounces heavy cream
Instructions
β Make Candy Corn Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine water, candy corns, honey, and ginger slices. Place over medium heat and stir until the mixture is simmering.
