Peach Vodka Jello Shots Recipe

Jello shots with all of the delicious peach flavors.

Have you ever drank Big Peach? It's a version of Big Red, but it's an orange-red color and it tastes like peaches. It's probably in my top 3 favorite sodas ever. Unfortunately, I can only ever find it at random small town gas stations.

The good news is though- these peach Jello shots taste almost exactly like that peach soda. Also, they are very similar tasting to a peach Jolly Rancher. Another one of my faves! If you are a big peach fan as myself then you are sure to love these peach shots.

To ensure these gelatin shots taste like candy and not like strong tasting vodka, I used both peach flavored gelatin and peach flavored vodka for the best Jello shots. To make them extra fun and yummy, I topped them with one of my favorite gummy candies- peach rings!

Peach Jello shots make for the perfect addition to any party but are especially tasty during summertime. Hello beach party! These Jello shots take just a little bit of effort and are quick to make so let's get into it!

✽ Peach Gelatin Powder: This is one of my favorite gelatin flavors. I like to use Jell-O brand's peach gelatin to make these shots.

✽ Boiling Water: The boiling cup of water helps ensure that the gelatin powder dissolves so there are no clumps in the final Jello shots.

✽ Peach Vodka: Instead of using plain vodka, I chose to use peach vodka. This really makes these shots super flavorful and eliminates that strong vodka taste that some Jello shots have. Some popular brands include Deep Eddy Peach Vodka, Ciroc Vodka Peach, Veil Peach Vodka, and New Amsterdam Peach Vodka. There is also Absolut Apeach which is a mix of apricot and peach that would be yummy in these shots as well.

✽ Gummy Peach Rings: While the peach ring garnish is optional, I highly recommend them! They are not only super tasty and match the shots' flavor profile perfectly, but they are also super cute!

Peach Vodka Jello Shots: Questions

✽ Can I use regular vodka instead of peach vodka?

Yes, you can use a cup of vodka to replace the cup of peach vodka.

However, I feel like the peach vodka makes these shots taste better. Using peach vodka helps eliminate that strong taste of vodka you find in some Jello shots.

With that said though, the peach gelatin is quite flavorful on its own. The shots will still be pretty good when using regular vodka.

In addition, you can also use white rum in place of vodka as well.

✽ What other vodkas would be good in these peach shots?

If you can't find peach vodka, no worries! The great thing about peach Jell-O is that a lot of other vodkas will taste good mixed into it.

Use whipped cream vodka for a peaches and cream Jello shot. Vanilla vodka would taste good too.

You could also try using other fruity flavored vodkas. Great options would be apricot, cherry, berry, grape, mango, orange, and lemon vodka.

✽ Can I use peach schnapps instead of peach vodka?

You can, but the shots will be sweeter and won't contain as much alcohol.

If you want to use peach schnapps instead of peach vodka, I recommend replacing the 1 cup of peach vodka with 1/2 cup of peach schnapps + 1/2 cup of plain vodka.

✽ Peach Crown Jello Shots

Are you more of a whisky fan than a vodka fan, but you still want in on that delicious peach flavor? Then reach for some Crown Royal Peach Whisky!

Another popular recipe is to keep this recipe the same except replace the cup of peach vodka with a cup of Crown peach whisky.

✽ When was peach Jell-O invented? History time!

In 1897, a man named Pearle Bixby Wait trademarked Jell-O. Him and his wife came up with the original flavors- strawberry, raspberry, orange, and lemon which they added to granulated gelatin and sugar. In 1899, Jell-O was sold to the Genesee Pure Food Company for $450. In 1923, the company was reorganized as the JELL-O company.

In 1902, the Ladies' Home Journal advertised Jell-O as "America's Most Famous Dessert" and salesmen handed out free Jell-O cookbooks in order to increase sales.

By 1927, peach Jell-O was born along with cherry Jell-O and chocolate Jell-O (which was discontinued in 1927).
