Dried strawberries are a wonderful and tasty all natural snack. The best part about these strawberries is that you don't need a fancy dehydrator to make them. Just pop them in the oven, and you'll have a delicious fruit snack in a few hours! Perfect for an every day snack, as an addition to yogurt and granola, and for desserts.

Ingredients

• 1 pound strawberries

Instructions

➊ Preheat the oven to 180°F. *You can still make this recipe if your oven only goes down to 200°F, but the cooking time may be shorter. Keep a close eye on them so they don't burn.*
➋ Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut off the tops of the strawberries, and evenly slice into 1/8" to 1/4" thick slices. Place strawberry slices onto parchment paper lined baking sheet so that the slices do not touch each other. *You may need to use more than one baking sheet to fit all of the strawberries.*
➌ Bake strawberries for 2 hours. Peel strawberry slices off of the parchment paper and flip each slice over. Return to oven and continue baking for 30 minutes to 2 hours, or until fully dried, checking them every 10-15 minutes.
*The time range is so wide because every oven is different, and the baking time also depends on the exact thickness of the slices. Some slices may finish drying before others. In this case, remove the fully dried slices when checking, and return the other slices to the oven until they are fully dried.*
