Suggested Toppings: cilantro leaves, avocado slices, sour cream, salsa, diced onions, sliced jalapenos

➊ Preheat oven to 350°F.
➋ In a skillet, cook chorizo over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until some grease is released. Stir in onion and jalapeno, and continue cooking for 5 minutes or until onion is softened. Add in garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in green chiles, and remove from heat. Set aside.
➌ In a 9x13 greased casserole dish, mix together thawed hash browns and refried mix. Spread evenly on the bottom of the casserole dish.
➍ Evenly sprinkle 1 cup of the sharp cheddar cheese and 1 cup of the pepper jack cheese over the hash brown + bean mixture.
➎ Add prepared chorizo mixture on top of the cheese layer.
➏ In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, half & half, and seasonings until fully combined. Pour egg mixture on evenly top of the casserole.
➐ Top the casserole with the remaining cheese.
➑ Bake casserole in oven for 50-60 or until cooked through. The top should be browned and the middle should only be slightly jiggly. Serve casserole with preferred toppings.
