These adorable candy corn Jello shots do not just look like candy corns, they taste like candy corn too! By using unflavored gelatin, I was able to be in control of the flavors to make these shots so delicious. You'll get notes of vanilla, honey, and butterscotch. These candy corn shots are perfect for fall and Halloween!
• 1/4 cup cold water
• 1 package (~1 Tablespoon) unflavored gelatin powder
• 1/2 cup boiling water
• 1 Tablespoon honey
• 1/2 cup vanilla vodka
• 5 drops yellow food coloring
• 1/4 cup cold water
• 1 package (~1 Tablespoon) unflavored gelatin powder
• 1/2 cup boiling water
• 1 Tablespoon honey
• 1/2 cup butterscotch schnapps
• 2 drops red food coloring
• 5 drops yellow food coloring
• Whipped Cream, for topping
• Candy Corn, for topping
➊ Make Yellow Layer: Sprinkle unflavored gelatin powder over cold water in a medium bowl, and let sit 5 minutes. Whisk honey into boiling water. Whisk hot honey water into the bowl of set gelatin. Stir in vanilla vodka and yellow food coloring. Fill each of the 10 2-ounce shot glasses about halfway full. Chill in fridge about 2 hours or until set.
➋ Make the Orange Layer: Sprinkle unflavored gelatin powder over cold water in a medium bowl, and let sit 5 minutes. Whisk honey into boiling water. Whisk hot honey water into the bowl of set gelatin. Stir in butterscotch schnapps and red + yellow food coloring until orange. Pour into the 10 shot glasses with the set yellow layer until each shot is almost filled up to the top. Chill in fridge about 2 hours or until set.
➌ Serve: Right before serving, top each shot with a dollop of whipped cream and a candy corn, if desired.
