Looking for a fun cocktail to set the mood for Valentine's Day? Look no further! This strawberry margarita is made with fresh strawberry sauce, tequila, lime juice, and a bit of champagne to make it bubbly and extra special!

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup frozen sliced strawberries, see notes below for using fresh strawberries
• 1/2 teaspoon sugar
• 1 ounce silver tequila
• 1 ounce lime juice
• 3 ounces sparkling wine or champagne

Instructions

➊ Defrost the frozen sliced strawberries by letting them sit out for about 45 minutes or microwaving them 90 seconds on 30% power.
➋ Force the thawed strawberries through a sieve into a bowl. Get as much juice as possible out of them! Whisk in the sugar until well combined. Then whisk in the tequila.
➌ Pour the lime juice, strawberry/tequila mixture, and couple of ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Give the shaker a few good shakes for about 10 seconds until it's nice and cold.
➍ Strain the cocktail into a cocktail glass. Top with the sparkling wine or champange and give it a quick stir. Garnish glass with a lime wedge and/or strawberry. Cheers!
