This pumpkin pie milkshake has all of the fall vibes! It's made with vanilla ice cream, real pumpkin puree, a homeamde vanilla simple syrup, and all those delicious fall spices. A bit of spiced rum and Irish cream is added in the blender for a tasty boozy treat. This milkshake recipe is perfect dessert for the fall season, celebrating Halloween, and at Thanksgiving.
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
• 4 large scoops vanilla ice cream
• 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
• 1/4 cup (2 ounces) vanilla simple syrup
• 1/4 cup (2 ounces) spiced rum
• 1/4 cup (2 ounces) Irish cream
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
• Optional: cinnamon & pumpkin pie spice, for rim of glass
➊ Make the Vanilla Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, stir together sugar and water. Place saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool at least 15 minutes.
➋ Make the Milkshake: In a blender, add all of the milkshake ingredients except the spices for the rim. Puree until creamy and well combined.
➌ If desired, dip the rims of 2 milkshake glasses into a bit of ice cream and then into a pile of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon. Roll rim around until it is coated
➍ Pour milkshake into prepared milkshake glasses, and enjoy!
