This boozy iced pumpkin coffee is so good! It's made with espresso or strong coffee, coffee liqueur, milk, and a simple homemade pumpkin syrup. All of the spices, pumpkin, and coffee flavors really make this the ultimate fall coffee cocktail or Halloween treat. It's also the perfect cocktail for a Nightmare on Elm Street movie night!
• 1/2 cup (4 ounces or 113 grams) pumpkin puree
• 1/2 cup (100 grams) brown sugar, light or dark
• 1/2 cup (118 mL) water
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
• 2 ounces espresso, or 4 ounces strong coffee
• 2 ounces coffee liqueur
• 2 ounces homemade pumpkin syrup
• 4 ounces milk
• Whipped cream, for topping
• Grated nutmeg, for topping
➊ Make Pumpkin Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, water, and all pumpkin syrup spices. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently. As soon as the mixture begins to simmer, remove from heat. Set aside and let cool for at least 15 minutes.
➋ Make Iced Pumpkin Coffee: In cocktail shaker, combine espresso (or strong coffee), coffee liqueur, and 2 ounces of the cooled homemade pumpkin syrup with a few ice cubes. Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds until chilled. Strain into glass.
➌ Stir in milk. Top with whipped cream and freshly grated nutmeg.
